Karadi Tales Bilingual is a series of specially scripted stories which serves as a powerful tool for language learning. Here the child experiences the story first in his or her first language, and the same story exposure is given in English (the second language) subsequently. The text in two languages English and Tamil, placed side by side allows instant cross reference between the languages. The stories written in prose and verse, are resplendent with simple songs and exciting music giving the child an opportunity to not only listen but also participate in the reading process. Narrated in English by Saeed Jaffrey with his faultless accent the narrative provides an excellent model for Tamil speaking children. To provoke and sustain interest, the story is also narrated in Tamil by Actor Nassar.
