Book synopsis/description:

First released in 2008 in Romi Konknni, Walter Menezes' book of 50 poems and couplets, Zoit ani Her Kovita bagged the Konknni Martir Florian Vaz Puroskar instituted by Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr, Porvorim in 2009. The book was subsequently transliterated in Devnagri Konknni by Walter's wife, Brenda Menezes and published by Goa Konknni Akademi in 2011.

The title poem narrates the evils and sufferings of war and ends with a passionate plea to work for freedom from strife, whatever the cost maybe. Other poems centre around love and longing, life and death, promises and betrayals, and the message of the Messiah.

8 poems from the book were later set to music by Elick Vaz in 2013 and the audio album, titled as Zoit-achim Fulam, was awarded the Best Konkani Audio Album at Tiatr Academy of Goa's Song and Music Awards besides the Best Duet Award and the Best Choral Song Award.

Zoit ani her kovita in Romi Konknni is out of print.
