Editorial Proofreading
[back to services menu]An editorial proofreader combines proofreading with some copyediting tasks, if they are required late in the production process. This process can include correcting errors such as misspellings, typographic errors (typos), misnumbering or mislabeling, subject-verb disagreement, word usage (such as the use of then for than), and identifying incorrect cross-references.
How It Works
Send us your manuscript by email or through utitlities like yousendit.com. A professional editor will proofread your manuscript and suggest corrections for errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar.
After receiving your revised manuscript, use Microsoft Word to "accept" or "reject" the suggested changes and choose whether or not to incorporate them into your final manuscript.
It is important that your manuscript is finalized and completed before beginning this service. Additions or modifications to the manuscript may entail further charges.
This is only a rough estimate. Actual turnaround times may vary depending upon the complexity of the subject matter covered in the manuscript.
Guidelines for submitting the manuscript
- The manuscript should be submitted in A4 size, with 1in. margin on all sides. The manuscript should be typed in Garamond 12 with a line spacing of "at least" 13.
