Winner of prizes in various cookery contests. Jane has several hobbies to her credit. She is the Vice-president of the D.K. Philately Association, Former President of the Rotary Anns’ Club of Mangalore, Member of the Ladies’ Club of Mangalore and Mahila Sabha, Mangalore.

She is also an ardent gardener and knowledgeable in the art of bonsai.

Her cookery columns appear regularly in Konkani periodicals. She has presented her skills in Cookery Slots on TV and judged many a cookery competitions, conducted Cookery demonstrations.

She is well travelled in India and abroad and has worked for several years as an Executive Secretary of a British firm in the Middle East.

Her other book RANDAAP-SHINDAAP, a compilation of over 350 recipes in Konkani, published in December 2003 was an instant success and has already seen three best selling editions, having sold about 4000 copies thus far.
